yellow rosesInitially, I began my counseling journey specifically wanting to help women survivors of sex-trafficking and the sex industry.  I was a clinical intern for Salvation Army for nine months and worked with men and women in addiction/substance abuse recovery.  My second internship lasted over a year with a non-profit anti-trafficking organization called Street’s Hope, and I counseled and provided intensive case management to women escaping sex-trafficking and the sex industry.  I was the Assistant Director for two years for an anti-trafficking organization called Beloved and have been involved as a volunteer for four years.  Lastly, I have been a Clinical Therapist for a non-profit organization called Behavioral Treatment Services (BTS) for two and a half years.  My position with BTS consists of working at a halfway house with women under supervision of the criminal justice system who struggle with trauma, addiction, and other mental health issues.  I have also held the BTS clinical team lead position for my site for over one year.  All of my experience has been with both individual and group therapy.
